The Finish Line

Actual mileage from Wasilla: 1015 miles

 March 14, 7:00 a.m.

    Jim finished in 30th place, and he's happy!  He came in at 6:38 this morning with 12 very happy healthy dogs, which was his number one goal.  His overall time on the trail was 10days 20hours 38minutes and 19seconds.  Despite his worries about his leaders Jim finish with Willow and Otis in lead and they were really moving out.  

    Jim ran a real clean race and finish in good shape.  I look to see him continuing on with his Iditarod dream in the next few years.  As soon as he gets some sleep he'll will sit down and write and you can here the whole story first hand.
